Day 3, 30th of May 2014
Today was an early start, I woke up at the same time as
Amanda and we both looked up to see mum
looking out the window. I sat down and talked to Tara and my dad for a while.
Then I went down stairs and grabbed a drink. When I came back we chilled in the
room for a bit. After that we went down stairs and had breakfast.
Breakfast was a buffet; there was scrambled eggs, bacon,
sausages, pancakes, potatoes, fruit, and other stuff. When we had finished mum
decided we had to go for a walk around the block. Everyone was laughing at me
because I was wearing shorts and a jumper. We ended up walking around the
block. We came to the conclusion that Toronto was designed weirdly. It was the
city centre and there were houses the same as what they have in the suburbs of
Melbourne.
After we had gotten back to the hotel, gotten dressed and
had showers. We walked to Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario is the fifth largest lake
in the Americas, It is some where north of two million cubic meters big. The
wind and air coming off the lake was so cold it instantly froze your hands when
you took them out of your pocket. After we left the lake we walked to Saint
Lawrence markets in the oldest part of Toronto, York.
The Saint Lawrence markets were full of Butchers, Deli’s,
and other shops. Mum and Amanda stopped at a wine store in the market and
tasted different Canadian wines and ended up buying a bottle. We then went and
had lunch at a small, very busy café in the market. The food was very good but
there was to much and we didn’t get to finish it. Then we walked back to the
hotel we were staying at, and I wen to sleep.
